This is a song about the feeling, as inevitable as the feeling described in "The Christmas Shakes", which occurs every year around December 27th. The feeling of coming down. The feeling that, no matter how good your Christmas was, you are now at the longest period of time in the year before more Christmas Shakes.

Sometimes I can get quite downhearted and be afraid of the future, afraid of what the next year might bring. It's important, however, to man up and turn your sails into the winds of tomorrow, like some kind of 'life pirate', and remember that with God's help all things are possible.

Happy New Year everybody, and here's to Christmases past, and future.
